Well i was looking on my Facebook and you know how they have things you can like, well one of my friends liked something that posted a Soviet Union flag beside it. The like had nothing to do with the Soviet Union, and even made the mistake of associating it with Hitler. This generation just does not understand what communism is. They do not understand the fact that during the cold war we got darn close to having that in America. If the Russians had gotten the upper hand who know where we would be. i know that i have used this before but President Reagan made a statement in his “Evil Empire Speech”. Which yesterday happened to be the anniversary of that speech. The president stated the following.
“A number of years ago, I heard a young father, a very prominent young man in the
entertainment world, addressing a tremendous gathering in California. It was during the time
of the cold war, and communism and our own way of life were very much on people's minds.
And he was speaking to that subject. And suddenly, though, I heard him saying, "I love my little girls more than anything." And I
said to myself, "Oh, no, don't. You can't…Don't say that." But I had underestimated him. He
went on: "I would rather see my little girls die now; still believing in God, than have them
grow up under communism and one day die no longer believing in God."
There were thousands of young people in that audience. They came to their feet with shouts
of joy. They had instantly recognized the profound truth in what he had said, with regard to
the physical and the soul and what was truly important.”![]()
Children today do not know the risk of communism, their parents don't teach them and the government removes it from the history books just like the holocaust. Now we teach children that every way of life is to be accepted. The President of the United States has even made the statement, that international law is to be accepted as more powerful than the constitution of this United States. Wow, if that had been said even 20 years ago do you know what would happen? The public would have had a fit, they would not have accepted it. Some would call that “times changing for the better”. Well i think Benjamin Franklin said it best, "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.". The fact that children of today are taught that liberty is not the most important thing is, in my mind, the worst thing that has ever happened to America.

This Generation just does not understand.

Unfortunately the natural conclusion of capitalism is where one person controls all the wealth and everyone els are slaves. The fight against drugs is a fight against individual liberties. Terrorism (although it only killed the equivalent of 3 days smoking deaths)is used as an excuse to cower the people. God is used to justify many a killing and the suppression of man's spirit of freedom. Taxes on water give people less freedom than many an animal.

I am a firm believer in the fact that "those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it." Not only should we be teaching our children of the dangers of socialism/communism, but of the dangers of evolutionist based ethnic cleansing that went on in WWII, the dangers of an idealistic unified world from WWI, the dangers of federal oppresion seen in the war between the states, the dangers of distant government that caused the Revolutionary War. That's just the history of our country, to say nothing of the rise and decline of Britain, Rome, Greece, Babylon, Egypt, etc... the corrupt nature of man not only leads to the demise of every great empire, but it does it through the venue of a generation that forgot what made said society great to begin with.
ReplyDeleteI dont agree with how the government is run, my idea governtment is one where the people rule not a select group of people that think they can answer for all of the rest. But i take what i can get and i try to change things. My point was ho...w we dont teach the current generation about the previous ones hardships and battles. History is there for us to learn from and there for us to change the course of what could be a disaster if history repeated itself. i dont agree with war. Man should be able to get along. I do believe in God and always will. And if that offends anybody then so be it, i will not coddle anyone for that reason. And no capitalism is not where one person controls all the wealth, true capitalism directs that every one if afforded the same oppertunitys to advance them selves by hard work and effort. But just as every thing else in this world people want to change what capitalism is and means. I am a person that wants to get back to what this country was founded on. Am i am sorry if anyone is offened by that.
